Welcome to Karberg & Schmitz:
The best for your vessel!
When Erik Karberg developed the first steering gear together with the Danish company Svendborg back in 1956, success for the longstanding development of the company was not yet foreseeable.
However, after gaining numerous customers nearby as well as on the North and Baltic Sea coasts, Erik Karberg and Walther Schmitz decided to found the company Karberg & Schmitz in 1960.
Shortly afterwards came representation of other manufacturers and their products for use in ship engine rooms.
With this both founders laid the foundations for the course of today’s old-established trading and engineering house.
In the later years, our market activities have been further expanded by supplying fresh- and pool water technology for super yachts and cruise liners. Out of niche product K&S established a wide base of applications and a continuously growing refence list.
Karberg & Schmitz offers extensive services! From planning, consulting and engineering of system solutions through to support when it comes to processing and care within the guarantee period. At Karberg & Schmitz you also receive support for worldwide repairs and spare parts services.

We look forward to hearing from you!
